About a thousand cold emails went out across two different segments. Zero came back. Not a single one.

Before I rewrite the copy again, I need to nail down the real villain: the targeting. I'm planning to stand up around 30 inboxes and eventually reach roughly 3,000 qualified leads a month, but bad targeting scales bad habits. This is a systems problem, not a words problem.

my lead sourcing has been a patchwork of sources, mostly through Apify:

The Meta Ads Library is a treasure trove. Every ad spend feels like a bright neon sign saying 'this person has money to throw at growth.' The problem, at scale, is extracting the actual founder's name and a verified email. It's like spotting a lighthouse in a fog of banners.

is another one. I can see coaches and community owners who are clearly monetizing their audiences. same headache. the verified emails remain elusive.

Apple Podcasts and Spotify have a nice trick: emails from RSS feeds. But there's no easy way to know if that podcast is a $50k-a-month business machine or a hobbyist with 40 downloads. That qualification feels like trying to judge a boutique hotel by its brochure. It kills scalability.

Apollo, Lusha, and similar databases? Reliable for traditional B2B. But they're next to useless for finding creators, podcasters, and coaches. That middle ground is where the real opportunities live.

So I've got three ICPs i want to test:

First, founders and coaches who already run a podcast and have a paid offer. they've already committed to content, so I don't need to convince them content matters. The real pain is that the podcast eats hours and doesn't produce enough downstream. My pitch: they keep recording, I turn every episode into a week of short-form content, so they stop touching the edit.

Second, business owners, coaches, and founders creating educational videos. They're using social media to generate leads and they get personal branding. But their content funnel leaks. the audience doesn't move from the video to the landing page. I can fix the funnel with editing, scripting, strategy. It's a story of broken bridges.

third, tech and SaaS founders. This one is currently my weakest. They have the deepest pockets, but i don't yet speak their pain fluently. many already have internal teams handling content, so the angle needs to be sharper.

my background is video editing, content strategy, scriptwriting, thumbnails, and social media management. I've been the muscle behind more than 15 million views across platforms. i also ran my own podcast. Right now I'm a solo freelancer. my clients so far have been crypto and mining , podcasts, finance talking-head content, and a few smaller projects.

Long term, I don't want to just sell 'video editing.' i want to transform existing content into attention, leads, and revenue.

Being brand new to cold email, I'm trying to get the fundamentals right before I scale anything. If you've built a lead scraping system before, how would you approach this? Specifically:

What's the best way to scrape niche leads with Apify? Is Claude Code actually useful for building custom scrapers? Is n8n the right glue for all the steps? what tools or APIs find and verify email addresses reliably? How do you auto-qualify leads so I'm not spraying garbage? And how do you discover podcasters, coaches, and creators who completely slip past Apollo?

i want to move from a blank ICP to qualified leads with verified emails, ready for outreach, without doing everything by hand. if you've built a machine like this, I'd love see your setup or what tools you'd actually recommend.
